  1. Do you have a nursery or day school?

    2. We have a nursery for all of the Sunday services for children under two years of age. We also have a nursery for our Wednesday evening service. We do not have a day care or day school program during the week.

  2. Are you associated with a denomination?

    3. OBC is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. Our focus and attention, however, has always been to be a Bible-teaching ministry led by the Lord Jesus Christ. We do not focus on the dogma of any particular denomination. We do pursue relationships with other local churches for the purpose of unified praise, prayer, and worship of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  3. Are you a charismatic church?

    4. The term "charismatic" has a strong connotation in today's evangelical circles. We are not a charismatic church in the sense of believeing in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as evidenced by speaking in tongues, holy laughter, being slain in the spirit, or dancing in the aisles. We are, however, a church that greatly desires to worship God in praise, singing, and celebration of His greatness. While OBC is conservative in its expression of worship, we do believe in the freedom to worship God by lifting up of holy hands.

  4. Can anyone have a wedding at the church?

    5. The church is available for weddings to any member who has demonstrated a committment to the family of God and an intention to maintain a Godly marriage through Jesus. We expect this demonstration to include 10 consecutive weeks of regular attendence at the Sunday morning service, the Sunday evening service, and the Wednesday evening service.

  5. Do you notify members if church services are canceled due to bad weather?

    6. Services may be canceled for safety reasons during heavy snowfall when the roads are impassable. We telephone each of our regular attending members.

  6. Do you provide individual or group counseling?

    7. We do not normally provide counseling services; however, under certain circumstances, the pastor will do some counseling.
