  10. S – Saved Church Membership

  13. S – Separation (Political, Ecclesiastical and Personal)

    • Political: The church is a distinct organization for a distinct purpose, and is not to be directly involved in government. This does NOT forbid church members from being involved in government. Matt. 22:21; Acts 5:29
    • Ecclesiastical: Each church body is separate and distinct from all others in governance. There is no earthly hierarchy of churches (e.g. Presbyterians, Catholics).  In addition, the church has the responsibility to separate itself from members in open sin.  Matt 18:15-17; 1 Cor 5:1-5
    • Personal: Each member is individually responsible for separating himself from sin. 1 Cor 5:11; 2 Tim 2:22; Phil 4:8; 1 Tim 5:22
